What is the Spring of Hope Trust?

Spring of Hope Trust is based in the UK and was registered in August 2011.

We raise funds to address the desperate needs of disabled children and young people living in rural Uganda.

Our funds support:

  • Work with the local Ugandan community to change lives.
  • Treatment and medication for disabled children.
  • Access to education and vocational training.
  • Educating the Ugandan community in order to change their attitudes so the disabled children are fully accepted in their community.
  • Disabled children to reach their full potential

Spring of Hope Uganda

Spring of Hope Uganda is a community based rehabilitation (CBO) programme and has been working in Uganda since August 2004. They provide services to disabled children and their families in the Kayunga and Mukono districts of Uganda.

SoH Uganda provide:

  • Assessment clinics
  • Home visits for physiotherapy and supporting parents
  • Teaching of daily living skills
  • Access to corrective surgery
  • Nutrition programmes
  • Epilepsy medication
  • Deaf sign language training for children, parents and teachers
  • Specialist equipment
  • Opportunities for income generating projects
  • School sponsorships
